FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1.Who is Encore Pageants?
-Encore Pageants is a pageant system that caters to girls 6 months through 18 years of age. Encore Pageants believe that the children are the future and are dedicated to enhancing qualities that will allow them to become enlightened young adults in the years to come. Our pageants are HIGHLY SOPHISTICATED Pageants! Our pageants are always held in a 4 or 5 star hotel, with a High Fashion Edge, our gifts are very expensive, classy, and our sponsors are well known and give away awesome door prizes, our staff is very friendly and have great customer service. We pride ourselves on excellence and sophistication. And we encourage full family participation! We promise that you will enjoy your entire weekend experience with Encore Pageants from beginning to end.
2.Do you have other pageants in other states?
-Currently our pageants are located in Peachtree City, Georgia. However, if we receive more interest in having our pageants in your state, we will look into coming to your state to hold our pageant. Stay tuned to an Encore Pageants coming to a State near you. You are always welcomed to travel to our upcoming pageants.
3.What ages do you allow in your pageants?
-We except girls from 6months -18yrs of age. They must be there age on the date of the upcoming pageant.
4.How do I register for your upcoming pageant?
-To register for our pageant, you must go to our website, click the Pageant Info tab, click Registration, click Online Application and fill out the application online. Please make sure you answer all questions to your best knowledge (this information is used to introduce the contestant). Once you have completed the online application, you will be sent to paypal to pay for your non-refundable deposit, Petite Registration or Supreme Registration. We give you the option to pay online via paypal to encorepageants_gmail.com or you can send us a non-refundable money order for payment.
*Please note, all applications are not considered an entry until at least a deposit has been received.
5.How much is your Registration Fee?
-We have two registrations: Our Petite Registration Packet is $100 and our Supreme Registration is only $125.00. To hold your slot for either of these packages you must put down at least a non-refundable $50.00. No exceptions! We pride ourselves on having a very prestigious pageant with highly sophisticated awards and gifts! Only the Best of the Best!
6.What does the Petite Registration Packet include?
-Our Petite registration packet ($100.00) includes: a registration packet of the itinerary for the entire weekend, memorabilia program book of the pageant with the contestants picture, and contestants official name tag.
7. What does the Supreme Registration Packet include?
-Our Supreme registration packet is ($125.00) which includes: a registration packet with the itinerary for the entire weekend, a memorabilia program book of the pageant (with the contestants picture), 2 Official Encore Pageants T-shirt (1 for the Contestant and 1 for an adult), and the contestants official name tag.
8.Is your Pageant considered a Natural or Glitz Pageant?
-Our pageants are considered a natural to semi-glitz. We love natural looking contestants as well as contestants that have a little bit of make-up, nothing overboard! No make-up for contestants who are 3 and under! No exceptions!
9.Can I pay al-la-carte?
-Unfortunately, we cannot separate each packet for the items you desire. They come as a packet deal, which saves you a lot of money. If you need extra movie tickets or t-shirts you can always purchase more in addition to the petite or supreme registration packet.
10. How many contestants are able to compete?
-We only allow up to 60 contestants per each group (6 months 12yrs) and (13yrs 18yrs). The purpose of only allowing a certain amount of contestants is to make sure all of our contestants have a good chance at winning one of our prizes! The fewer amount of contestants the more chances of winning one of our prestigious prizes.
11.What categories must they compete?
-All contestants from ages 3yrs 18yrs must compete in an interview question/portion on stage, a talent (3yrs 18yrs), a costume (6 months 24months), and a formal wear for all contestants (6months-18yrs). No exceptions!
-We have recently introduced a NEW MANDATORY perquisite for all of our pageant contestants. All contestants must sell at least 4 $25.00 ad program books for our pageant memorabilia book.
-We are also introducing The gift that keeps on Giving $1.00 Raffle Tickets for our pageant. Each contestant that sells more than 100 tickets receives a tiara and certificate. The raffle will be for 12 Months of $25.00 Restaurant Gift Certificates ($300.00 Value) (participants do not have to be present to win).
-We are also giving away a 2day trip to the participant who has the most participation (sells $15.00 Adult and $5.00 Child tickets to the pageant). We encourage family participation and would love for them to join the fun!
12.What should a contestant wear for the formal wear portion?
-For our formal wear, the contestant may wear a Sundays Best dress, Prom attire, or a glitz pageant dress. Girls from 13 yrs 18yrs must wear a long gown for formal attire in good taste, no visible body parts must be seen. No exceptions! Boys may wear a tuxedo, Sundays best dress, or tie, slacks, and a vest. No Gym shoes will be allowed!
13.What should a contestant wear for the interview portion?
-All contestants (3yrs -18yrs) will be asked interview questions in their formal attire.
14.What questions will they be asked on stage?
-Most of the questions for ages (3 yrs 12 yrs) will be a question asked below:
-What is your favorite food?
-Who do you like to play with?
-What is your favorite color?
-Do you have any pets? What are their names? If no, what pet would you want?
-Who is your hero?
-What is your favorite cartoon character?
-Who is your favorite teacher?
-Questions asked for contestants who are (13yrs 18yrs) are age appropriate and drawn from a hat..these questions are not known, this will allow the contestant to be able to think fast and precisely.
*All interview questions will allow the judges to see each contestants personality.
15.What should a contestant wear for the talent portion?
-This portion is only for ages (3yrs -18yrs). The contestant can wear anything he/or she feels comfortable in. This is the portion wear your child can sing, dance, martial arts, cheerleading; anything that you feel is their talent. Music for each talent will have to be received by October 31st, 2010. All music will be reviewed prior to the pageant. Music may not have sexual explicit verses, any inappropriate words, or innuendos! No exceptions!
16.What should my child wear for the costume portion?
-This portion is only for contestants ages (6months -2yrs).Your child should wear a fun costume i.e. sunflower, bumble bee, princess, pirate, or frog. Be creative, costumes must not be gory or in bad taste, no Halloween scary costumes will be allowed. No exceptions!
17.What is the contestant judged on?
-The contestant is judged on stage presence, beauty, charm, and personality. It takes all these qualities to be considered the Supreme Winner for Encore Pageants!
18.What should I expect the day of the Pageant?
-From 6am -9am Breakfast is provided by the hotel at your leisure.
-From 8am -9am Our Professional Photographer will be able to take pictures of the younger contestants in their costume/talent wear.
-At 9:30 am All contestants (6months -12 yrs) must be in their costume/talent attire and prepared to go on stage at 10am
-After the costume/talent, there will be the formal with an onstage interview. The judges will deliberate and we will have our awards/crowning presented. The pageant should be over no later than 12:30pm.
-From 1:00pm 2:00pm Contestants Ages 13yrs -18yrs will have the option of having a make-up artist and hairstylist an hour before pictures.
-From 2:00pm -3:00pm Our Professional Photographer will be able to take pictures of the older contestants in their talent wear.
-At 3:30pm All Contestants must be ready to go on stage at 4:00pm
-After Procession and Introductions, talent, and formal. The judges will deliberate and we will have our awards/crowning presented. The pageant should be over at 6:30pm.
19.How long do your pageants last?
-We pride ourselves on being very timely oriented. We try to have you in and out. Our pageant starts on Saturday Morning for ages (6months-12yrs) 10am - 12:30pm. And for ages (13yrs 18yrs), 4pm 6:30pm. Only 2 1/2 hours!
20. Is there a discounted hotel rate given to contestants who plan to stay at the hotel?
-Yes there is. Our hotel rate is only $99.00 per night if you plan to stay that weekend. This includes 2 Complimentary Hot Breakfast Buffet, 15% Dinner Discount Coupons, Luxury and Relaxation. Actually, we highly recommend you do stay at our hotel, just to make sure the contestant is rested and ready to go the morning of the pageant.
21.What awards are given to the contestants that win?
-There is a 2nd runner up, 1st runner up and Queen/King for each age group. If there are not enough participants in the age group, the contestant will automatically, by default receive the Queen for that age group.
-We also have most photogenic prize, prettiest hair, prettiest smile, and most beautiful, and most handsome.
-A prize is given to the contestant who is the top ticket seller and the top Sponsorship ad seller.
-A prize is given to the Parent who helps the contestant with the most sponsors and ticket sales. Last pageant, we gave an all paid 3 day trip to Cancun for our top selling parent!
-All of our Kings/Queens receive a $100 scholarship (depending on the pageant) from a Modeling Agency, Trophy, Tiara/Crown, Sash, and half a dozen Bouquets of flowers.
-Our sponsoring Model Agency gives away $500 scholarship to whoever they choose as the Most Promising Model (depending on the pageant).
-We award a Peoples Choice award with a Magnificent Tiara/Crown to the person who receives the most votes on the day of the pageant.
-We also give away Pageant Directors Choice award to the person the director chooses. That contestant receives a Huge Trophy and Tiara.
-Our Supreme winner receives a Gorgeous Tiara/Crown, Magnificent Trophy, Sash, Dozen bouquets of flowers, $500 Scholarship from a Modeling Agency (depending on the pageant), and Grand Cash Prize!
22.Who are your judges?
-Our judges come from all walks of life; however we have judges from Modeling Agencies, fashion industries, and many other prominent individuals who have teamed up with Encore Pageants to be our judges.
23.Will there be double crowning?
-No there will not be double crowing. The contestant with the highest points out of each age category will receive the Supreme Title. If there are only 2 contestants within that age category than by default the 2nd highest point person will receive the Queen Title. (Call us if you need further clarification)
24.Is there a most photogenic category?
-Yes, but you must attach a headshot photo via your online application for the contestant to be submitted for the most Photogenic with payment to enter this contest.
25.What if I pay all my fees and I am not able to participate due to an emergency?
-Each incident will be reviewed case by case. Encore Pageants makes sure that we are well prepared for each contestant prior to the pageant. Most monies will have been used for the professionalism of our pageants. Refunds are non-refundable.
